I just saw a video posted on the kickstarter page that stated they were converting all rewards into gift-cards for their shop. Has this been done and I missed it, or did I overlook a piece of mail or something?

U have not seen anything myself, other than a hint in "video #4" that they are planning to do "something" about the overhanging rewards. (I would imagine their Accountant would be bugging them on this even more than the folks who are still waiting. 
Doubt that they can take any steps until the COVID situation improves. I would guess that making Film is not exactly considered an essential service these days in Italy.
