Used to be a motion picture film, now being re-released in Alpha version of an 80ASA B&W still film.

From the pictures- seems to be very high contrast with deep blacks and not a lot of grey tones. Wonder if anyone will try this?

Why do some of the test photos have vertical lines in them?

That's the first roll ever produced in a factory that was shut down for years. That's why it has defects.

They already found out what is scratching the film and thus next batch shouldn't have the defects.

I have spent a few weeks - waiting for
avaiblity.

They announed : " online shop is under construction will be online later ........."

NOW THEY ARE ONLINE :

9$ + 14,50$ for shipping (23,50$ one roll)

I can understand that they need money.

But they have to understand that a preproduktion masterroll bw film with
sratches normaly in the past (thinking
of kodaks emulsion tests for new films)
is industrial scrap! !!

Ok-Ok ....they need money and they should get it.Many outhers may Live
sratches in their films.

I' ve to wait - perhaps there are outher films more interisting at the time.

with regards

I'd like to add that I've just seen the Ferrania P30 available at retail in regular photo shops in Italy (Marvin in Torino has it, for example).

It seems they are now trying to revive an E-6 process colour reversal film, which caused enthusiasm in the Cine Group as Ferrania reputedly has the machines for perforating double-8, super-8 and 16mm cine films. That would be great indeed.

Marvin doesn't have it. I'm Italian too, whatever you saw it wasn't Ferrania film!

Based on macfred's post in late July and trendland's post tonight , I went to the website in the last 5 minutes and it says the "Shop will re-open soon" No indication of a date. I may have been to the wrong site but I couldn't find any way to order P30

No word for quite some time. ( 2 months is an eternity.) even the "best practice" Document is still at Version 1.5

I shot one of my five rolls, and the camera I was using broke, so I am not sure if the exposure was right. when drying the images looked a bit thin, but once it was dry, their is a lot of range. SO this stuff does seem to have potential.. I am hoping that they have just not stretched themselves way too thin.

Thanks macfred. There would appear to be stock available to those who want it. I didn't check out if Ferrania is selling and sending it to customers outside of Italy. It is 9 euros per roll for those whose currency is not euros
