Ferrania Italy Kickstarter campaign

A little less than $12,000 to go. Unless this absolutely falls flat on its face it will be funded.

Thats so freakin awesome! And to be part of it is even more awesome!

How many of y'all are going to shoot the film you get as rewards?? I'm torn on whether or not i should shoot my roll that will be one of the first 500, or if I should keep it in a display box with my camera collection.

You bet I'm going to shoot it

In all formats: super-8, 16mm, 35mm and 120...

Collections are for those who have more space than I do!

I'd shoot it, Of course!
Besides, its gonna be here by next April, plenty time to shoot and decide what to

One of the first 500 I'd definitely keep in a display box. Mine is not part of the first run, but I'm going to keep my first roll of each - 120 and 135 as a souvenir if you will...

At 59 minutes after the hour the day count just ticked over to 18 remaining. The project was at $238,512/$250,000 = 95.4% funded. That means they still need $11,488 which works out to only about $638.23 per day over each of the remaining 18 full days. And the trend line for the $638.23 figure has shown that amount to be shrinking continuously since the project began, including this middle span where KS pledges normally flatten before picking up again at the end.

So yeah, they should make it easily...

And to Chris' question, yes, I'll be exposing it all. I bought in at the 4-135/4-120 level.

The 35mm is to give me lots of frames to try out over a wide range of subjects and lighting. And the 120 is to try it out in the formats (6x6/6x7) in which I will most frequently be using it. Since I'm not expecting the grain to be nearly as fine as Fujifilm E-6, I need to see what it looks like at that medium format level.

In the home stretch!! Less than $10K to go...

AND for the movie folks, they are now offering to process the MOVIE film - as long as you pay the cost to send it back to Italy! They also seem to have an instagram contest, the winder gets Double the reward they purchased. Since I never figured out instagram, I don't know how it works.

I'm in....

Missed the numbered rolls, so I will be shooting the 120 and 35. But then isn't that what film is for?

Italian film... It will make my Prius look like a Ferrari, right?

I am just hoping it convinces my Ambi-Silette to shoot like a Leica.

Though it already works quite nicely.

That sounds like fun! Havent checked instagram in ages -will check to see this contest!

I'm going to shoot one roll and keep the other, I wanted to contribute more but but budgets are still pretty tight.

Now, i am a backer too.... spent 40 $ for two 35mm rolls. Cant wait to get them

I increased my pledge to the 2x135 and 2x120 and plan to shoot it all.

If only they had 35mm movie film ...

I increased my pledge to the 2x135 and 2x120 and plan to shoot it all.

I'm thinking of upping my pledge too, but I wanna see what surprise they have in store for backers.

Hmm.

I may need to pledge again for some movie film and then build a pinhole to use it.

Maybe a tryptic pinhole. Three strips side by side exposed with one pinhole.

Is there an option to get 16mm film, 120, and 135? I didn't see it, but maybe I'm just blind.

Sure. If you haven't already done so, that option is to help to fund the effort. Then when they are successful in restarting production—if they are successful in restarting it—we can all buy as much of those formats as we want.

There is one for: (1) 35mm roll, (1) 120 roll (1) 8mm and (1) 16mm. It was to all come in a display box as I recall. I did not see an exact configuration you mentioned less the 8mm.

Already donated for the 120 and 135 but have a nice Kodak model K I've never used...

Nice!

For anyone who wants more than the 1 reward that kickstarter allows (like to get a whole bunch of still and movie films together), there's always the option of signing up in your partner's name, or your pet's...

(meanwhile, only $1421 to go)

Yes, my father is already a proud backer (when I remember to tell him ). My partner barely accepts my interest in film .
