Ferrania posted a video of them using a telescopic forklift to move filling cabinets from a doomed building. I guess the building did not have working elevators to get the cabinet out the conventional way.

Hope that this is a sign that things are progressing.

I hope for them they got usefull informations in those cabinets.
From cabinets to film production will be a long way. So I wonder why they chose just that.

EDIT:
Maybe there are more, but link does not work for me.

I think that their point was that they were rescuing records, information and material from the old factory while they can, prior to demolition.

There are about 40 videos on their Vimeo site, although a large number are clips from movies found in the old factory. There are some interesting film test clips from the 1950's and 1960's. Also some updates on their main site.

I wish we had more informative updates than this.

The video is really just part of an update we just sent to our Kickstarter backers.

Updates will be increasing in frequency as things move forward - and will get more informative as there is real "meat on the bones" to share.

We're also posting on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, etc. - then occasionally collating the best of this stuff to post on our own site.

When did you send it? I've had no updates sent to me at all since I backed you.

Here's a quote from their facebook page about the move that may have something to do with the video of them moving cabinets:

The machinery we acquired from Ferrania came with a LOT of documentation; manuals, microfilms and blueprints. This documentation had been stored in the former engineering building and it needs to be moved to our new home base in the L.R.F. building.

Documentation about their equipment is likely very important to be able to keep their factory running, as they say, "for the next 100 years." Would I like to see posts about them making film ready for sale? Absolutely! But being able to maintain and properly use their newly acquired equipment is extremely important to their future success. It is good to see that they are preparing their factory for the long haul. We want Film Ferrania to succeed, and saving this stuff is going to be important for their success. You can't just go down to the local library (or likely any library in Illinois, and we have some really good ones!) and get this information.

Go Ferrania!

Updates we post to our Kickstarter project are automatically sent to all backers by Kickstarter.

We've done 12 so far and the updates are sent to whatever email address you used to login to Kickstarter.

If you're not seeing updates, you've either used a different email address than your normal inbox - or the updates are getting filtered into your spam folder.

No worries either way - you can find them all on the Kickstarter page: Dead Link Removed

I'm not sure if this is a secret or only for the KS backers, but thanks for the last update!

Neither of those things apply in this case. Please look into it for me. I have just emailed help@filmferrania.it with all the details, including payment date etc...
