to my fellow apugers...
I ordered from Mcmaster-Carr a bunch of adhesive backed black velvet/felt. Its extremely thin and works AMAZINGLY well. I accidentally ordered 4'x4' and have a whole slew left over. It wasnt expensive but now I have a whole bunch left after adding some to the back of my 7x17 and 8x10 camera to minimize some very slight leaky light. I also used it to replace the light trap felt on one of my older wooden film holders.
reason I posted, is since Ive gotten so much help from my fellow apugers I thought Id offer up any to anyone that might need some. only request would be postage. it works well and I even tested it with 4 7x17 shots already and it works well.
PM me or post in here.
Ive attached some images it added to the back of my 7x17
PS sidenote: dont turn off the lights in your darkroom, put 4 sheets of 7x17 film in the presoak tray, and then realize that you forgot to add the 20ml of PyroHD A and 25ml of PyroHD B to the 2 liters of developer water.
it makes you nervous and feeling your way through pouring the "quantities" is a bit tricky.
