The first time I saw this image was when my son was a baby just around the same age as the baby on the photo, and knowing the story behind the photo I could not stop crying for hours and still whenever I see this image, my eyes fill with tears.

Nice to see Fred Herzog recognized. As a "local" there is a tendency to take him for granted.

I agree. I have it as well.

I have a couple of friends who have known him for years, and who used to attend the regular slide shows that he would put on. Many of the published images were most likely seen there.

And then, finally, he was "discovered".

I love Fred's work and the image posted in particular is quite compelling.
