I love how simple these cameras are. A lens, a tunnel for the light and a glass or a film plane to catch the image. It's amazing how close to the simple, physical process of photography it really is. And yet how powerful it is when it comes to actual picture taking. Just the range it has from razor thin depth of field to deep front to back tack sharpness is astounding.

awesome! I'm going to have a chance to use one such camera next month for my 52-sheet project!

Thanks for sharing!

You do nice work, Nicole!

I also agree with your "less is more" opinion. Owning too much stuff can sometimes get in the way of my making photographs. I have been downsizing too.

Hi Nicole,
Nice blog and portrait images. I like the one of the man in the study.
You're saying (writing) a true word: minimizing
That's something I should do. I have a big load of projects, cameras, etc. So I should minimize this into a few projects (and really finish one) but where to start?
One 35 mm, one roll film and one LF camera is a nice goal. And one pinhole camera on the side.
Also one film, one developer and one printing process will help too.
I'll think about that and will try to decide.
Thanks for the help
