Favorite commercial printing services for digital B&W?

Hello all, I'm looking for recommendations for printing services for digital images that black & white. For a long time, I did my own with an Epson r2400 (3k ink system) and eventually got pretty good at it, but that printer finally died a couple of years ago, and I'm not sure I want to get back on that often very expensive horse, without exploring some alternatives. My wife has used services like Snapfish and its ilk and sometimes I've thrown in b&w images on those orders for quickies, but never been impressed with them. Do we have a favorite basic upload and order service that might still be cheaper than doing my own inkjet, but gives a nice neutral grey to black & whites? I'm guessing any "pro" oriented service is going to be to expensive as well.
