Favorite B&W Print Developer Formula

Another vote for Ansco 130 - unless I'm developing Azo prints ---

For me, when developing Azo prints: It's Michael A. Smith's Amidol formula (IMHO, print tonality always trumps working solution tray life) !
 

True, and I see your point. But as you noticed, the first reaction to a general statement is to look for concrete instances thereof. Anyway, knowing your track record, I would not accuse you of smearing other people's product to your benefit. Should you have reserves to express, I would take them as coming from a man of science, not from the man of commerce.
