Had my way with a box of 4x5 over the past couple of weeks. I've tested it with Pyrocat-HD at 1+1+100, and 2+2+100. In 1+1+100, an EI of 40 for normal contrast, and 50 for 2+2+100. My normal time for 1+1+100 is 9:00. 2+2+100 gives me a normal time of 4:00... Four minutes is way too short from what I'm used to for "normal" contrast, but the sheet came out nicely developed (BTZS tube)... I'll use the stronger dilution for low contrast scenes. In regards to the film's characteristic curve, it has a longish toe... I prefer films with a shorter toe... Perhaps that's why I had to expose it much higher on the scale to get better separation in the shadows... It has a nice, long straight line section, with a very gradual shoulder after zone 8.
Grain is nice and tight. Sharp.
For the image shown, I used the 1+1+100 dilution at 21C. Less development was given to tame the bright snow... EI 32 was used. I'm quite happy with the results. I'll do a little reciprocity testing and then it's off for some serious field work. I'm glad I ordered two boxes!

Looks good Andrew.
The thread title made me laugh. I wonder if any of your students visit Photrio to see what their teacher might be posting there .
