I was heading out to shoot today with a Diana, a ZeroImage 6x9, a Horizon202 and a whole bunch of film and saw this guy sitting on a chair:

Dead Link Removed

I asked my wife if I could borrow it and she said "it's yours-it's the diaper changing bag I bought you". Hmmm.

Anyhoo it's GREAT..very light, great ergonomics, lots of room, pockets galore and it even comes with a protective wrap with a velcro fastener they call a "changing pad".

Comes in alot of colors and only $60. And I hear that you can use it as a diaper changing bag too.

$60 is too expensive for that. $20 is more like it. I got something similar a few years back on closeout for $5. Bought a few of them at that price.

It's actually a really well engineered and finished bag. I'd pay $60 for it if necessary but if you can get it for $20 or $5, God bless.

Does it take 8x10 film holders?

I only have one old 8x10 plate holder with me and it fits and looks as though I could squeeze in 3-4 of those so an equal or greater number of Lisco/Fidelitys shouldn't be a problem.

Agree that it has a 'stealth look' ("DiaperDude") as opposed to a Billingham or another wellknown camera specific bag. They have camouflage and and Jolly Roger versions as well.

As long as you have a baby with you, you can pass with a Diaper Dude. The idea of using a diaper bag as a camera bag and theft deterrent has been around for a while. I remember Bob Monaghan had an article about it on his big medium format website. I forget who it was who suggested on one of the forums that one could make a career as a camera thief looking for tourists not of child-bearing age carrying diaper bags full of Leicas and Hasselblads.

You can fit a 4x5 field camera in the main compartment, about 3 holders in the front center pocket and a few more in the large rear pocket although that doesn't zip and has a single magnetic snap closure. The front side pockets are too small for 4x5 holders.

Ouch! You're as bad as my older son (almost 12) - he keeps reminding me me that he'll be choosing my rest home.

Ouch is right! My youngest is 19! I think he and his two older brothers are plotting against me! That is as soon as he gets out of college. Doesn't want me in a home until after I pay all of the college bills. Then it will be adios dad. They already think I'm nuts with cameras that are bigger than I am!

Jim, the worst is to come, when they eventually do fly the nest they leave your house bursting at the seams with all their stuff they accumulated growing up, that they won't take with them, or let you throw it out.
I'm thinking of writing a self help book entitled " Raising children for fun and profit"

Our daughter is only 18 weeks yet even now I'm drowning in various baby sedation devices (swings, jumpers, rockers, strollers, harnesses, gliders). Luckily they're all giveaways from families and friends but I'm relegated to throwing out a an old pair of shoes for each pair I bring in and only reading library books.
