Hey all--

I've been looking for a Canon FD 24mm 1.4 L for quite some time...they don't pop up all that often, and the couple I've seen at auction go for almost as much as the 1st version of the EF 24mm.

So I'm wondering, what's a fair price for one of these? I just found one for what seems like a decent price, I'm hoping somebody around here can shed some light on the value...

Thanks--

Greg

Expect to pay about $1,000 US for one in great shape, 600-800 for one in good condition with some scuffs and cosmetic issues.
IF you can find one. For that price, it should be recently CLA'ed and free of fungus, oil, and scratches on the optics.

Glass is great, focus is smooth. Aperture is sluggish. $450.

Sounds like it was a good deal. Now off to find someone to do a CLA.

I'm thinking about staying local (Portland, OR)...Advance Camera or Knight.

Any reason to seek someone else out?

If a price is "fair" depends if you are buying or selling  .
