I was thinking about the possibility to intensify colors with a chemical and quick google search driven me to batik or silk printing fabric color intensifiers.
They do work on textile dyes and I found an 1972 Technicolor Patent where there were 50 dyes which taken from Textile Dye Catalogs.

Do they work with modern color slide, negative, print or inkjet, laser prints ?

Technicolor uses kind of more standard dyes than are used in chromogenic and instant materials.
