I am not really happy with the foot switch, a bit thick and too short a cable (ca 5').
I did go back and read the RH manual. It turns out that the pdf layout is a bit weird
Yes, add an online version please. Sometimes its nice to have a pdf available even though you have a hard copy.
wrench;761769...I think either timer would make me happy said:Two thoughts:
1. The StopClock Pro isn't really all that large. Larger, yes, but large? No. My enlarger lives on a steel shop table with pegboard back. I use two long pegboard prongs which allows the timer to sit at an angle and is a few inches above the work surface so it takes up zero space. Also, I modded a pair of power-strips with the EIN connectors and have my safelights and enlargers (three) plugged into them. That way, I can use one timer for all of my enlargers without custom plugs. The primary benefit of mounting the timer the way I have is that I can operate the controls by hand (instead of the foot pedal) without inducing vibration into the table/enlarger.
2. The case is metal. Very attractive. The ZoneMaster II is a plastic case, but it's so small as to be inconsequential. It also looks nice.
But I agree that the DA timer is very sharp looking. None of these timers are slouches. There are philosophical differences in how they do some things, but that's just a matter of picking one or the other and learning it.

I think this is essentially the difference. The Stop Clock seems to have evolved from a print makers concerns and the DA from an engineering/scientific approach to the same issues.
Bruce, could you please elaborate? This is really what I want to know.
<They both will accomplish the same thing and neither will make you a great photographer.>
I'm not so quick to agree. I felt that my skills as a photographer greatly improved after buying the RH Designs gear.
I did a few searches about these timers, but I couldn't really find anything directly comparing the two

... the wood casing on the DA timer looks really nice. I know this seems a bit silly ...
