Extending the ISO range on the Voigtlander VCII meter

It's a nice meter, but only reads down to ISO25. Indicated that is...
But the ISO setting dial can be set below ISO25, and as I was wanting to use Lomo Babylon 13 film (iso 12-ish), I set it to what seemed to be where ISO 12 would be.
After a few meter readings - comparing the approximate iso12 setting to iso 25 - it showed that they were 1 stop apart!
So perfect, it does read at iso 12! I marked this spot with a pencil so I would know it was set there.

That is all.

You can do the same on the other side for 6400 ISO

Not the point. The meter does read to iso 12 w/o having to do that. Makes me wonder why they didn't mark ISO 12 but stopped at 25.

Perhaps back then there were no slower-than-ASA 25 emulsions for purchase.

Looking back at some references, the original Kodachrome was ASA 6, alhough the first commercially available Kodachrome was ASA 10. so my above theory is not entirely valid. Kodachrome got its ASA 25 rating in 1961.
