Are you looking for the curve for "normal" (by typical zone system standards) development as a baseline? Just want to make sure I post the relevant info.

Yes, the "N" curve would be wonderful, especially if accompanied by information on the protocol (film size, developing equipment type, presoak / no presoak, agitation regime and temperature) used to achieve it. Thank you again!

You must have had one of "those" weekends.

If you can post XTOL 1+3 information within the next couple of days, I'd be most grateful and in a better position to start some exposure/development tests planned for mid-week. If not, I'll just start with a best guess. Thank you in advance.

Michael - thanks for sharing. I'd definitely love to see your curves for these films in XTOL (1:1, 1:3, whatever you got). No rush - just curiosity.

Thank you, Michael, for sharing all this information with us. When it comes to the last curves, comparing DD-X with XTOL, do you have any idea what the difference would have been with replenished stock solution of XTOL instead of the 1+1 dilution that was used ? I am a litle curious as I normally use XTOL replenished but sometimes DD-X for Ilford Delta films.

If that means they were developed by inversion in small tanks, the data would probably not help too much with my sheets in a Jobo Expert drum on a CPP-2 anyway. I'll use a best guess time to start Delta 100 / XTOL 1+3 trials.

Even at 1+3, I've never experienced much compensation with inversion agitation, but have always used more than Kodak's specified 100 ml XTOL stock solution per 80 square inches of film and agitated vigorously each minute. Perhaps with less developer stock and/or an agitation scheme approaching semi-stand there would be more exhaustion in the highlights.

Based on what is going on chemically in a replenished system, I would assume it to have slightly lower highlight contrast (in effect, a slight compensating characteristic which would allow you to develop the shadows a little further, resulting in a slight increase in effective EI). Some users report finer grain and higher sharpness versus unreplenished stock. I am sceptical and I think where image characteristics are concerned, the differences between replenished and fresh XTOL are likely very small.

Thank you again , Michael. I think I will stay with my dear old jar with replenished XTOL but perhaps use DD-X with more than only Ilford Delta films.
