Hi,

I was attempting to sell this lens. I have never had a problem with it before, yet when used for the first time in a while to try it out on a Nikon D700, the exposures when stopping down but maintaining an equivalent exposure got brighter. An exposure at f2.8 was correct, but an exposure metered correct at say f-22 was not. What is wrong with my lens? Will it be expensive to fix?

-Joshua

Have you examined the lens to see if the diaphragm is closing during the exposure?

It sounds like oily aperture blades, the lens isn't able to stop down proper 'cause of this. It's fixable.
