Hi all,

Thought I would share my exposure record form which I am using for zone system. I made this not so long ago when I started learning zone system and shooting with my Mamiya M645. It is based on form found on Ansel Adam's The negative book.

pdf can be found attached to this thread or from the link below

Any feedback and ideas to make this better are more than welcome!

Cheers,
Newbie Zoner

ps. oops, export messed page change a bit, will fix soonish

That looks great marzollo, good form design!

I only get 8 shots a roll with 6x9, but your design is useful for having room for 15 frames of 6 x 4.5... But that makes me wonder why aren't there any 6 x 3 panoramic horizontal format camera out there that would yield 24 shots a roll...

Although I don't use the Zone System I find notebooks and pens too cumbersome to record my exposures on location, I use a Sony Pocket Digital Recorderhttp://www.argos.co.uk/beta/static/Product/partNumber/3383236.htm?CMPID=GS001&_$ja=tsid:59158|cid:200290250|agid:12504952010|tid:tongue:la-156239926850|crid:66128553050|nw:g|rnd that I can upload onto my computer to keep a record of the lighting exposure filtration and weather conditions. One of these would seem ideal to me for the Zone System and you could fill in the sheets later at your leasure at home.

I like it. I use a 3x5 index card notebook for LF. Takes 10 seconds to fill out. I've been working on something like this for 120.

@Bill Burk yeah, I am using 645 format that's why 15 frames.

@benjiboy I never thought using voice recorder. Actually I need to test this with my android phone.

Here is the fixed version of the form.

I am also making some printable card for reprocity effect for the films (trix, tmax, rpx25, fomapan 100) I am using.

marzolio,

Be sure to check out Vaughn's reference card for night-time exposures that was given to him by Michael Kenna.

See post 23 - Vaughn shared his notes based on a handout he got directly from Michael Kenna

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Not exactly 6x3 but close is the panoramic conversion kit for Pentax 6x7. It is 24x66. You get 19 shots on a 135/36 roll. And I get 13 shots on a 24 exposure roll of 35mm film.
