Last week I shot a few FP4 plates dating from around 1964 to see if they were still useable. I took two images, one metered at ISO5 and one at ISO2.5. The ISO5 image turned out poor but I think that was down to an almost exhausted developer so I swapped out to fresh DDX 1:4 for the ISO2.5 image. I developed for 6 minutes with one minute initial agitation + 3 seconds every minute.

Shot at F/11 for 1/25 sec.

I have included a picture of the negative, the scan and then the adjusted version where I used the basic adjustments and would like your thoughts on the following:

Was I close do you think on the ISO choice?

Is there something different I should be doing in development such as a more appropriate developer (I only have DDX at home)?

Any tips on shooting/developing expired plates in general?

Thanks.
