so what if my image becomes stock for that site....I entered mine, 20k is something that I really need right now for my education.

Again, I don't think most people (including myself) have a problem with that type of contest as long as the rules are clear and up front.

The are your images and you can do with them what you want.

The issue for me was conflicting information on the photographer's intellectual rights put out by MS, which has since been corrected on their website.

I complained directly to MS and to several consumer rights groups and I think all the complaints had an effect.

I really don't care if the few cynics on this site feel this is pollyannaish behavior; I would't let them wash my dog, let alone run my life.

Now, the FAQ and the Rules agree and it is clear as to your rights and obligations when entering.

Feel free to sign away your rights, just don't speak for me in the process...
