iandavid has given me some unopened tmax developer that expired in 04/2008. Is it still good to use? I intend to use it for developing Fp4.

Also, if I were to develop one roll of fp4 35 and one roll of fp4 120, both shot at asa125, in the same tank then will 8 minutes be sufficient time?

I used the developer on Hp5 400

1 min pre wash
6.5 min dev - agitation for the first minute then 5 inversions every minute for 10 seconds
30 sec stop
8 minute fix
20 minute wash
quick soak in photo flo

My negs have white dots all over them...why is this?

It could be particles from any of the chemicals that you used now embedded in the emulsion. Have a look at the developer. Does it look like having any kind of precipitate?

I think I saw some particles moving around when I mixed it.

Oops!

Try mixing some more to be sure. After all, it was free.

Going to use some Perceptol 1:3 on fp4 125 for 21 mins

Atleast ill be able to tell by the color of the powder this time...

I ended up using Microdol-X 1:3 for 23 mins on fp4 125

The negs look fantastic!

Just developed some 120 in the same process. The film wound onto the spool funny (probably my fault) and I found them all bent all off the tracks! I quickly re spooled it after fixing and its washing in its proper position. I hope it all developed ok!
