In regards to buying expired film, how can someone say it is new film when it expired 5 years ago. Two auctions ending today states in the title New.

I have no problem buying expired film and would have bidded on these except the seller blocked me because I asked how could this be new?

However I was wondering if anyone else considers outdated film "New" because it was never open?

I guess he considers any film that's unexposed as "New". After all, nobody has run it through a camera yet, so it can hardly be characterized as "Used".

Well, its still NEW, meaning never been used. Used film would have been open and maybe exposed. As long as seller states its expired, its buyer beware.

i think it's still new, but certainly not fresh.

I agree, I guess a equate New and Fresh as the same... Anyway I would have bidded on the several of his film auctions.... But I guess he was to sensitive when I question it... Oh well.

It is "new old stock" film, I guess.
