HI,
Wasn't sure if this fit better in one of the "film" forums, but here goes:

Just for the hell of it, if I wanted to put a film back on the Polaroid MP4 copy camera, either using the existing sliding viewfinder/film back or possibly by itself, is this possible using any of the commonly available medium format film holders?
I understand the quality can be...variable...based on what I have read (the lens with the MP4 is the 135) but if it can be done without too much craziness, I wouldn't mind trying.

Thoughts?

The MP4 is pre-digital so it only takes film.
It has been a while since I used one of these. Using some reverse logic, if the "U-shaped adapter" allows one to use #545 film holder (which fits Graflok backs) maybe a standard 4x5 film holder will work with the "U-shaped adapter." Does you camera have that "U-shaped adapter?" I never tried it (4x5 film holder in that camera) but it seems like it might work. Let us know if it works.

Nice. If it works with the pack film holders, which fit a 4x5 Graflok , it should certainly accept a standard film holder and most likely a Grafmatic, as well as the 4x5 camera version of any roll film holder that puts both rolls on the same side.

ic-racer, thanks for bringing up the u-adapter; it did not come with our MP4. Once we are past the setting-up stage for our copy stand, I will look for an adapter to possibly try the camera as a "standalone" medium-format.
Donald, duly noted on the film holders. I have never used Speed Graphics or other press cameras, so good to know.
