Any experience with Poe Boy Collodion? The fact that it is both additional ether free and Cadmium free makes it appear to be worthwhile, but how is it's speed, adhesion properties, contrast etc.? I would be using it mainly for tintype and ambrotype 'positives', but may conceivably use it as a negative to enlarge on to traditional printing paper.

Any experience with it, opinions or quirks?

Thanks.

I made some once, it waorked fine, but the life span of a bouble potasium collodion is only a couple of weeks from what I have heard. Make a small batch and try it to see what you think. From an economy stand point, a cadmium collodion will last quit a few months, so if you do'nt use it for a few weeks you wo'nt be out anything, but then again it is a cadmium collodion. I make Estebrooks collodion for positives, it has two cadmiums init, I like it better than old relyable or workhorse, sill here to talk about it. If you use cadmium, just wash your hands after handling it.
