Except for one thing. I'm trying to use up some film and strangers in the street won't let me photgraph them. Those bastards! I guess I'll shoot some nature and architecture.

Ah you get use to people ducking when they see ya pointing it at em, they think it's a ray gun.

I infact thought many people never knew I was taking pictures of em because I was looking down into the camera instead of holding it up to my eye. I also enjoyed people asking me about my camera, that's when I could get em to sit for me. I always promise I'd send em a copy of my pictures if they'd give me their e-mail address. If they wanted prints, they'd e-mail me back to choose the ones they liked and for cost of materials, I'd gladly shoot one off, generally one of my proofs that I don't need.

People think my SL66 rig is a movie camera.

Paul's comment about the WLF is spot on. Works better with a TLR though than the gigantic THWAP you get with a MF SLR.

After a year or so with mine...I'm still excited!

Yep, I love my RZs. I bought one camera new with a metering prism for an ungodly amount of money (retail). When the d*****l thing hit I bought a second body, several mint backs, 6 lenses, extension tubes, teleconverter and a finder for about 2/3 the price of the new one. I carry one of them on the seat of my car at all times...EC

Are you handholding the RZ on the street? That takes a lot.
I keep my RZ in the studio, its that big of a monster.

For street stuff I use my Mamiya 7II with 50mm lens. I set it for hyperfocal and then click pictures with the camera pointed from waist level. I get amazing candids that way (not my invention. I forget the famous photographer that did that in the 1930's in NYC subways).

I love my Mamiya M645j's. Yeah two of em. No interchangeable backs, So I figured go for the interchangeable fronts feature.

Congrats on your new RZ. I have the RB67 and loking to upgrade to a Z model.
