Hey guys, just signed up here.

I have a question and hopefully anyone can shed some light. I need a camera strap for my Exakta 66 (pentacon six mount) and I have no idea where to find them. They're quite unique because they have a bracket that screws to the bottom of the lens it self using center of gravity.

if anyone knows where I would be able to purchase one, don't care if it's used. Or if anyone knows an alternative way to put a strap on this camera, it'd be very appreciated.

thanks,
-raph

That looks like a great accessory. Do you think you could modify a strap from a sporting goods store, like a strap for binocs, or any other type of strapping with either quick buckles or double 'D' rings?

Try asking Trevor Allen at his all knowing site http://www.pentaconsix.com/
or ask at
http://forums.delphiforums.com/kievreport/start

The factory in Dresden is still active (now owned by Schneider) and very cooperative. Contact info is available at The Kiev Report. above.

Baier Fototechnik in Germany is likely to stock the strap.

Everything available is on the two sites listed above. Difficult to own an Exakta, Pentacon or Kiev if you don't know about those two.

thanks guys. yeah i checked out the above sites, but i haven't yet contacted them. i did ask baier for a flash mount, which he said they were sold out.

i'll try again with the bracket strap.

and rick, that sounds like a good idea. i was thinking the same thing. if it boils down to not having any at my disposal, i'll just DIY a strap with my own bracket. hopefully it won't mess up the camera itself.

thanks for all your replies.
