Ex+? And I thought eBay sellers were bad

Ha, at least an Ex-. These are considered the best made of the metered M's. Consider the location and who is wandering in off the street. I've heard tales of people coming into that store and dropping 10k as an afterthought.

It did not say, "Rare Minty+++++. It works. I do not know anything about cameras."

WTF?!?!? At first I was wondering what the issues is...then I saw the top plate. I would have called that poor cosmetic condition. To advertise it as EX+ is kinda shameful.

FWIW, There are plenty of these things in good mechanical and cosmetic condition floating around...

A few seconds with a 6-inch angle grinder and nobody would ever know the chickenpox were there.

Forget it Jake, it's Soho...

Yeah, the first few photos looked ok and then I hit the one showing the top plate - and the gnarly hot shoe, frame counter and rewind knob. Shameful is right.

Not even. The M6 was the high water mark of Leica's cost cutting. Zinc top plates that corrode. Finders that flare. Cheaper internals.
It's why Leica 'redeemed' itself in part when they replaced it with the MP, which addressed all those issues.

fredmiranda.com has a whole bunch of Leica Ms for sale at the moment, for some reason. It seems people are trying to cash out!
Going rate for an actual excellent condition one seems to be about $2300-$2500.
