European equivalent to PH111A enalrger lamp

Hi,
I'm from Denmark where the mains power is 220volts/50Hz.
My darkroom is in part, built around an american Omega B22 and a
LPL solid state timer both of which are built for 110 Volts, so I run them
off a converter that steps the current down from 220volts to 110volts.
Recently my timer went kaput, and I would now like to replace it with
a 220 volt model that runs directly off the mains power without the
bother of going through a converter first. This however, is not possible
because the PH111A lamp in the B22 enlarger, being rated for only
110volts would immediately burn out.

I would like to know if there is a european equivalent of the PH111A
enlarger lamp but rated for 220volts, one that has the same type of bayonet
socket as the PH111A lamp so that I could fit it directly into the B22 enlarging
head and thereby run both the new timer and the B22 enlarger straight off the Danish 220volt mains power.

If there is a european equivalent lamp to the PH111A, what would
it be called, and where might I be able to purchase several of these lamps?

Or just put your stepdown transformer between the timer and the enlarger bulb.

Bobs idea sounds practical . . .

If you find an alternate lamp I suggest getting half a dozen. The legislation about phasing out household tungsten bulbs is probably going to affect the production of specialist tungsten-filament bulbs too. Even though they specifically will be allowed, the shrinking number of manufacturers are complaining about economy of scale etc.

On the other hand, I have a plan to place a set of LEDs at the same height as the enlarger bulb over the condensers, covering a diffuser of the same width as the bulbs widest point (70mm) so that I can continue using the De Vere if there are no tungsten bulbs available in the future. I know it could be simpler to just make a diffuser head, but I like the Vari-con. Plus the bulbs, those made by Philips anyway, last a very long time so I might never need to bother . . .

seems you have this lamp: http://www.replacementlightbulbs.com/lampph111a.html, looks like an ordinary opallamp with bayonet mount (BA15S). You might want to look for a 230V type at www.replacementlightbulb.com or convert the socket to the standard european E27 and fit the common (european) opallamps. This might need adjustment of the positioning.

Thanks for the rapid response guys. I'll check out all suggestions to see what works and what won't.
I know that I should just get shut of the B22 enlarger and replace it with a european equivalennt, but after
having stood in front of the durn thing for thirty odd years, I'm just flat out in love with the pesky critter.

That german Schahl company I referred to was in those pre-internet days regularly to be found on the Photokina fair as one of their specialities was sale of photo/AV lamps.

That catalogue of replacementlightbulbs.com is very informative. It even has some informations one would not find in some manufacturers' catalogues.
