european e-shop suggestion

Considering the state of thinks about Ilford and diminishing inventories of their films, papers and chemicals in local shops it looks it is time to look for some good e-shop, preferable in Europe. The same for brand strategy - it looks time for my current "Ilford film, Ilford developer, Ilford paper" is over.

BTW - I dont understand why it is problem to buy czech Foma papers here in Bratislava, a few kliks from the border, but it is problem.

I only know/use Prophot, which is a black & white paradise in the center of Paris. I know other people are happy with the three other shops as well.
In all cases, beware of shipping costs...

I buy my stuff from two german vendors - phototec.de and fotoimpex.de (who are involved with J&C in the USA). Both are a pleasure to deal with, the two add up each other in terms of brands and profile (phototec for the standard stuff, fotoimpex for Calbe, Efke, Foma, Forte).

I recently visited the Foma factory shop in Praha - wow. Nice prices, good stock... and Foto Skoda down the road was even better.

You can´t do much wrong in buying and using Foma papers but to save a few bucks. In fact I prefer Fomaspeed Variant3 over MG4 when I have to choose - in my eyes it´s the better paper in terms of tonal rendition, contrast control, base.

Before I went there I checked the prices with the help of a czech online shop which seems to be affiliated with the factory - Dead Link Removed
