Hello all,
Wanted to try LPD, bought the powdered form, 1 gallon pouch, not can. As I started to mix it with water, noticed the water is a deep deep brown. I thought this would have been a yellow?
Have not used yet so for all I know its fine, was just curious about the stock color.
Thanks

I experienced the same since they switched to bags from tins, it used to be a light straw color but still works as it should.

Yes, I have been using LPD 1:1 in a Nova Slot processor with replenishment for about two months now and it has turned a deep chocolate brown, but still works great.

Yes, this makes sense to me after some use and replenishment, mine was this color from the first mix without use.

Inexcusable. I would buy Ilford Bromophen. Kodak sorted this out, so there's always Dektol. Chemicals aren't as available as they used to be, supply chain, etc etc.

Are you mixing with distilled water? That does make a difference for sure. Found I had a rusty pipe or two in my water supply and that was enough to kill my XTOL mixes real quick.
