I just received an Epson v750, and one of the things I want to do is keep dust off of it, and the negative holders.

I have taken measurements to have a good friend make me a nice dust cover, and also a nice pouch to fit all of the negative holders and wet mount in to keep them dust free as well.

I have not picked a particular material yet. I want something that is lint free.

If there is any interest from a handfull of people, I'd like to collaborate a bit on the choice of material, and also make one for those who are interested. The cost will be, if any, very little. I'd like to keep it to 5 or less for now.

Would definately share all info after a few are made and any kinks worked out for those who would want to make their own, or have one made.

And, if anyone knows about something like this already being made let me know. I couldn't find anything, except a place that can custom make clear plastic type covers, which I really do not care for.

PM me if you are interested.
Also, not sure if it would appropriate to post this on APUG as well.

Warm Regards
Cody

My 750 needs a dust cover. Despite the humidifier and large dust filter I have running in my office, dust gets places. You sure you can't remember where you got your cover Kirk? May be not the store, but did you find it on-line, or at a local computer store in Chicago or sunny New Mexico? Inquiring minds need to know. Grin.

Cody, if I can't find one soon, I'm interested in what you come up with.

Try this link:

I found this by Googling Epson Dust Covers. IT shouldn't be necessary to form a purchasing co-op.

Thanks for the link Don. I narrowed my search on Nylon covers and also found a place that does custom covers.

Dead Link Removed

I would much rather order something then make it.

I live with three rabbits (and a wife) so we have a dusty, if not furry, house. I just keep a piece of fabric over it, which is keeping the rabbit fur to a minimum. I actually felt a bit shorted that Epson didn't include a dust cover with the scanner in the first place.

Thanks for the links though.
