Hello all,
I have been shooting 35mm HP5+ and Tri-X lately and have been having a hard time scanning the Tri-X on my Epson V700 scanner. Specifically, the HP5+ stays nice and flat when it dries, while the Tri-X develops a bow. When placed in the 35mm filmstrip holder for the V700, I cannot get the Tri-X flat. As a result the HP5+ images are nice and sharp, while the Tri-X images have focus issues. I assume that others face similar issues with film bow, and was wondering how you overcome this problem.
Thanks in advance,
Jim

Take a look at this web page:

Custom film holders for Agfa, Microtek, Canon and Epson film scanners.

for improved film holders.

I've got a V600 and got an Anti Newton Glass cut to sit in the neg holder for 35mm. It seems to work just fine. Hope this helps. cheers, sam P.S. I use the glass instead of the snap in frame - otherwise it sits too proud of the base of the neg holder......

thanks Don and Samcomet. i have the Betterscanning MF holder and did not realize that they also make the 35mm ANR glass. Thanks for the pointer!
Jim
