Has anyone used the Epson 4800 printer for making digital negatives? I saw this printer at the recent View Camera - Large Format conference in Louisville and it appears very study. It looked like it only has one black ink so I am wondering if it can be used for making didgitial negatives or should I stick with my Epson 2200 or the new Epson 3800.
Did you attend the alternative process talk with myself and Kevin Sullivan? The palladium and gum bichromate over palladium prints (the square images) that I sent around were made from digital negatives on the 4800.
Don't bother trying to use PDN to make negatives with that printer, though. Complete waste of time, as it cannot produce enough density to make a full range negative using that approach.
