I bought this scanner new back in 2001 and have had it ever since. It hasn't had a ton of use all those years, but enough to keep it in working condition. Its been used even recently with confirmed results. This is a 2400x4800 dpi scanner. With this scanner comes a 4x5 film transparency adapter allowing you to scan 35mm, 120, and 4x5 film negs and positives. I do not have the adapter for slides, but Im sure you may not need it, since slides can rest on the glass to scan up. I do not have the original adapters for film to use the light built into the scanner lid. I only have the adapters for the 4x5 unit. I still may have the original box for this scanner. I'd just have to look for it.

So if you want an inexpensive way to scan up your 4x5 films, here it is. The driver software for this scanner works on Windows 10 no problems (its what Im using it on). It is a 64 bit driver. Glass isn't perfectly clean, as expected for 20 years of use. As said this scanner is working, as I used it recently for a bunch of negatives and receipts.

Im asking $120 Canadian plus shipping, due to the rarity of aquiring the 4x5 adapter for this unit. Normally the scanner itself doesn't go for much, but the transparency adapter is very rare to find. This is a package deal and will not be split up. Payment to be by PayPal in Canadian funds. No refunds or returns on this unit. US residents this will be couriered out to you, due to USPS being unreliable at this time.

hi braxus
can you tell me how large the back light (on lid ) is ?
I have a 4870 and the light is about 6x8" , is it about the same ?

I notice you have this categorized as “digital” in the listings. You will get way more interested people if you categorize it as “hybrid” so the film photographers see it.

My 4x5 attachment unit seems to be 4.5 x 6 inches. However- the light in the scanner lid is long and skinny, so I doubt it would be useful for anything big.

It should be now - I don't know why it wasn't before.
