I just visited Epson's website, and discovered that they currently have promotional deals on their products, including most (if not all) of their scanners -- including the 4490, V500, V700 and V750. Free shipping and no tax (except CA, IN, and TN). I first noticed the sale prices when visiting Office Depot's website, and it indicated that the sale is good till 8/29/09. I didn't find any indication of this expiration at Epson's site -- but I didn't look all that hard, either.
Anyway, just thought I'd give y'all a heads-up, if you're in the market for a good scanner.
