Picked this up from a Japanese auction site super cheap, even with shipping. I put batteries in and no signs of life. What I’m hoping somebody knows is whether or not it needs a memory card to power up. I scoured the internet for a manual, and nothing, and would like to know before buying a card. TIA

I don't know the camera in question, but I don't think I've ever seen a camera that doesn't power up without a card inserted.
