Epson 7600 and 7700 inks

Hi,

Does anybody here know if epson 7700 inks are compatible with the epson 7600?
I have access to a few sets of 7700 cartridges and a 7600. Is it also possible to just extract the ink from cartridges and to put them into 7600 refillable cartridges
