They closed last week.
Apparantly, they had notified the world about the closing, but outside of their facebook page, which i only saw by chance a day after the closing, i saw it nowhere else. Really, newspaper ads for this type of thing is the last place i would think is a reasonable place to advertise... But perhaps that alludes to the reason behind the closure.
They were always a fine store, and for their finesse you had to pay a pretty penny premium.
I bought my first Jobo there oh so many years ago
, and as a student, they really had EVERYTHING. The sad thing was that you had to argue and haggle over everything to get it down to where it was anywhere else, though they did eventually fold.
Couple that with moving out into the sticks, meant no tourist traffic, no casual or local business of any kind, more like a specialty store for stuff you can buy online anyways, for less and without tax. I never understood that.
