That might sound like a stupid question because the EOS system has an extremely short flange, electric transmission for everything etc.

Did someone ever try to make an adapter for EF lenses on other systems, for example - let me dream for a moment - Leica Visoflex? :blink:

Not so far as I know. If you search on ebay, I don't think you'll find one but you will find every other possible combination. You got the reason in your first paragraph.

There are adapters for EOS lenses to the micro-4/3 and Sony E-mount digital systems, despite the severe functional limitations. But I've never seen one for a film system.
