enr on c-41 help!

hello people i d like to make ENR process on my c-41 negative and print...
i m using tetenal c41 colortec developer + blix...

and i also have neutol and id11....

could you describe me the step?? and the difference between enr and bleach bypass in terms of color?? i know that the enr not affect a lot the saturation of color...

You need separate bleach and fixer. The tetenal kit with blix will not do. You can use the developer but you need to get some color fixer. The b&w devs are of no use in that process.

If you've never done straight bleach bypass forget the enr for a while. I suppose you'd need plenty of tests to make it repeatable.

The BB is straightforward - develop it normally and than do not bleach (or blix) - just fix. The rest is standard.

Mind that what you get may not necessarily be what you've seen in the movies. In MP bb/enr is more probably done on intermediates and not on original camera negative or it might be digital effect.

in most film the bleach bypass is made on camera negative (some scenes in munich , and minoity report )
the b/n fixer not work?? (hypam,agefix) otherwise i ll buy the color fixer....

i d like to make enr also on print.....

The b&w fixer probably works but more knowledgeable people here warned me against that. I'm out of my league here. Color fixer is cheap and is ok for b&w negs and paper as well.

If you're using tetenal c41 kit, follow the instructions, just replace the blix with the fix. However I don't remember what fixing time at should be 38C. You should be able to find it on net.

I remember that BB on print was discussed here as a method of reducing contrast. I do not have any experience on that.

If I understand it correctly enr is about bleaching the neg partially. The only way I can think of is to use bleach as one shot trying different times and dilutions, then fix it. Probably takes a lot of tests to get desired and repeatable effect.

I'll see if I can find actual ENR bleach instructions. I think the bleach times are similar with movie stock and C-41.
