I am wondering whom, other than me are using a 25mm enlarger lens or similar to print 16mm films, et al?

Cheers

I've used an Enlahead, which has both a negative carrier and lens that mounts where the lens would be on an enlarger made for other formats. Mine has a 28 mm lens -- though in all honesty, with a D2 enlarger, I do about as well with a (better quality) 50 mm lens for my enlarging.

For 16mm and Minox I use one of the following 3 with a glass carrier.

Rodenstock 25mm
Minolta CE 30mm
HM-Componon S 40mm

You can also use 16mm and 8mm Cine lens with an adaptor

BTW does anyone know of a 16mm still camera that takes C mount?

Goldeck 16 I think has c mount.

Personally though given the size of some of these old euru subminis and the complications one can encounter with those that only take double perfs or crazy rare cartridges it's just less hassle to stick an ultra wide on a small 35mm camera and just frame your scene in centre of shot and just print that small piece of the negative. It's the same effect and size but without the crushing hassle.

But perversely not as rewarding at the same time as doing it with a 16mm.

Lenses I use: mamiya enlahead and minolta 30mm

I think I have an old 8mm or 16mn movie projector that belonged to my Mom's second Husband, that I might dig out just to see if I like the results vs. my 25mm.

Should I expect these to also have a m39 mount?

Probably half frame negatives are not considered subminiature, but I enlarge those with a 38mm Olympus enlarging lens. Just did a 16x20in. print and it is wonderfull

Funny, that idea occurred to me a few years back as I was contemplating a revision of my home brew enlarger for Minox. So I went searching ePrey thinking they should be cheap since most folks shoot video, not movies. Surprise! Not only do folks adapt them to digi-stuff, but C-mounts are apparently used in a lot security/surveillance systems. As such, ones that are perhaps optically decent are more costly than I expected. There are also some units sold new that "almost admit" in their ads to being rather lackluster optically. I ended up buying a Mamiya ENLA head, the sort of enlarger subsystem that Donald Qualls described. It works, and I have a Minox B, but my first attempt to use it in about 30 years hasn't convinced me it's my next big thing.

kern switars are pretty sharp.
I have a bell and howell 16mm micro film camera with a minolta rokkor micro lens which I would imagine be an excellent enlarger lens, just need to work out if it is removable.

That does no sound all that different than the Leica Valloy II I use for 35mm b&w condenser enlargements, which is a lens on an extension tube on the condenser head, using a helico focusing mechanical movement.

Cheers.
