Just got this, can't find anything other than a few ebay sales on the web. Any information would be appreciated. also got some Kodak contact screens, which I'm not too sure on the function of.
It looks like it's in very good condition, I now understand what the 4 big lamps are for. Glass looks great and the boards move smoothly. I don't know what to do with it, I might sell it. what could the value of such an intricate thing be?
There's one for sale right now on the big auction website for $999, but how much it's worth is up for debate.
I understand it's a camera for pre-press work, and there's not much market for that kind of gear today. It could be useful for copying ULF negatives, though.
Many moons ago I picked up a mostly stripped Nuarc vertical camera. I cobbled together a back for film or paper up to 11X14 and had a lot of fun. The camera also served double duty as a poor-mans Lucigraf tracing machine. That ability got me through several years as an artist/illustrator.
Your Nuarc probably has a vacuum back. Did you get the pump as part of the deal? Enjoy!
