searching around for an omega D-2V and really new to printing. I know the D-2V will do 6x6 but not sure it will do 6X7 or 6x9. If it does? great, but if it doesn't, what enlarger should I look for regarding those formats?

thanks in advance,

Jaime.

i would recommend a beseler 23c. its a fine enlarger and will cover up to 6x9. if you ever want to go large format and shoot 4x5 however, i recommend you keep looking.

Omega made things easy.

D series 4x5 and smaller
C 6x7 and smaller
B series 6x6 . There is I think at least one B that handles bigger but in general the rule holds.
A handles 35mm.

Agree, M805 is great. Though, one of the few I know that 'stops' at 6x9. In many cases you will need to choose a 4x5 in enlarger for adequate 6x9 cm coverage. A 4x5 enlarger will also let you do 6x12.

A for 35mm. I may have missed something but
believe any Omega B will handle through 6 x 9.
I know my B8 will. I actually have a C, very
rare; 3 1/4 x 4 1/4. Then D, E, and F.

For the OP; the B8 is a sized down D2,
very similar, very solid. Dan

The last B series Omegas were considered "consumer models" limited to 6X6. The B8 was much earlier.
