Sorry for the silly question but I'm not so experienced and googling it it's hard to find...
I recently switched from my durst F30 to a durst M600.
I'd like to use my componar 50mm lens that I have on the F30 with my M600. However i noticed that the lenses on the M600 are much smaller...
Any solution?
Well, I guess it`s about the lensboard. The F30 has a M39 lensboard and the M600 normally has the same mount. Maybe someone bought a M23,5 lensboard for it because of a special M23.5 lens.Try to get a M39 (mm) lensboard for the M600.
BTW: Did you check out the focusing aid of the M600? It`s very helpful ...
I tried focusing aid... it's quite strange... from what I've understood I should match the green squares with the red ones. Right?
Where I can find such a lensboard?
For the lensboard try ebay. (SIXPLA 39) I think you don`t have the manual. In case of need give me your mail adress and I will send you a copy. On p. 15 there is a description of the focus aid, on p. 20 a description of the lensboards.
The Componar is at the low end of the Schneider lenses (plain triplet). The effort of searching for an apt lensboard better should be put on acquiring Componon or Rodagon.
Fitting that into the too small lensboard might be something you could achieve by DIY.
It seems unlikely that your Componar does not have the standard mount. You should have no trouble finding a proper lens board. It will probably work with the lens board that comes with the enlarger.

I had the same issue with a Durst/Schneider lens. I happened across a plastic 25mm to 39mm step up ring. I agree with an above post that it may be cheaper and faster to get a decent modern 39mm mount lens.
Componon of that vintage also had small 23 threads. Much better lens. Componars were bottom line lense. Comparon were middle grade for 4x to 6x small prints. Componon 6 element lenses were best.
Buy a modern lens with jam nut and file out the mount you have or buy a 39 mm board also. This is your best option. Do yourself a favor and get a decent lens.
