Enlarger Lenses Question

Hello,
I'm total beginner in enlargement and wet printing. I have two enlargers Beseler and LPL Saunder 670 with dichroic head. I got both of this for free. Also they come with bunch of free lenses. Schneider Kreuznach 1:4.5 50mm; Rodenstock-Rogonar 1:4.5 75mm; Schneider Kreuznach Componion 1:5.6 135mm; Vivitar 1:3.5 50mm; Schneider Keuznach Componon 1:4.5 135mm.
My question is, is any of this lenses suitable for both 35mm film as well as for 6:4.5 film enlargement? The largest print I would make is 16"x24".

Thanks so much Bob for your fast reply. Additional question, can I use 135mm for 35mm film? Is there anything that can cause problem doing that?

The 135mm lenses are too long for 645 and 35mm, with 645 you'll be restricted to making small prints, an 80mm would be a better option. The 135mm Comonon & S are designed for 5"x4".

If you want to make small prints from 35mm, then the 75 or 135mm lens can be used.
The reason is, using a normal 50mm to make a small print, the enlarger head sometimes has to be brought down so low that the head gets in the way of using the easel. The longer lens lets you keep the head higher, and out of the way of the easel.

You may not be able to make your max sized print with the longer ones but they will work fine. I've regularly used a 150 and 162 on 6x6 and the working room underneath the lens was great. I was only enlarging to 5 or 6 inches square though.

Wow, that's ambitious, but you might want to start off a little smaller. I've been printing for some 35 plus years and the largest print I've made of my own work is 11x14! Paper's expensive these days. The 75 Rogonar will handle 645 just fine. Good luck!

50mm for 35mm film format
75mm for 6x4.5 and even perhaps 6x6
135mm can work even for 6x9, i think, but at least for 6x7

90mm for 6X7
105 for 6X9
I have 3 135mms 2 will cover 4X5 one will not, but is good if I want to print 6X9 at 5X7
150mm to 162mm for 4X5

Yes but coverage might be treacherous. I had a 50mm "fujinar-e" enlarging lens that apparently covered 6x6 (!?), but the corner performance was not good.
