Thought it either never rained in Texas, or never stops raining! Just plan for the right decade and put a hole in your roof. Of course, then it wouldn't
be a darkroom anymore. But there's nothing wrong with a conversation piece in a skylight. But going back to a legit previous question, the Durst
colorheads are nominally 240V. The power supply accepts 240 and then might split that into 120 going to the bulbs (depending on the model), and
220 going to the fan. Drive gears on the chassis here in the US are generally independent 120 circuits, though you also have manual override. If a
power supply has gone defunct, it's either a headache or big expense to replace it. I don't bother, but just do a bit of rewiring to run the fan and colorhead on separate circuits. If you end up with one of those 2000W 240V heads, you might want to rethink it. They run HOT and need very aggressive cooling. But those are comparatively rare now. The L1200 was not one of Durst's commercial enlargers, but the top of the line of their amateur division. A nice unit, but not a Ferrari.
