I have an opportunity to buy an Omega A6 in excellent ++ condition. It comes with an El Nikkor f2.8/50mm. The condensers and ceramic reflector look great. The power supply is working properly and the bulb looks fine. For 35mm only. I sold my darkroom gear some years back, so it's kind of like starting over.
Does anyone have knowledge of this enlarger? Info on the net is kind of limited. Evidently it was designed for professional use and produced in very limited quantity.
Would this be a good or bad choice?
Thanks for any input.

If it works it sound like a great enlarger. If it is not too much $$. If you wind up getting it, let us know how well that fancy light system works. You might want to stock up on a few DLS bulbs also.
A Beseler 23 CIII would be nice with a Black and White light source. I provided two links one on the East and West Coast because I don't know where you are located at.
Thanks to all that have responded. If this A6 covered more than 35mm, or if I didn't also shoot med frmt, it would already be in my possession. The multi format is all that is holding me back. I'm also looking at a very nice Beseler 23CII.

To cap this off, I bought a pair of Beseler 23CII's. One standard height and one XL. Both with condenser heads, plus one dichroic head and power supply. Two lower level 50mm and one 80mm Rodagon. Three enlarger timers, four easels, trays, safelights, contrast filters, print washer and much more. Also, lots and lots of chemistry. I spent a total of $150 (and a SubWay sandwich ). This seemed a reasonable price to me.
