With Focal Point (Daytona, Florida) seemingly finished trading, where are people getting decent optical quality glass cut for their negative carriers? I'm not enthusiastic about buying random glass on ebay, as that hasn't panned out so well in the past.

Is there anywhere in Europe or the UK ?

If I need to, I can cut down my own sheets, but would prefer not to have to do that. I cannot cut bevels to fit the Durst carriers, for example.

Thanks!

Yikes. I've had glass damaged in shipping, but not quite that bad!

I should also note, that I'm particularly looking for Anti-Reflection (AR) Glass - not so much Anti-Newton (AN). Focal Point used to have an AR Glass that was just fine for my needs, and I'm having a hard time finding a replacement.

I needed some 4x5 negative carrier glass and was able to cut down some 5x7 Durst AN glass that had damage at the edges. The bevel was not as hard to create as I imagined. Keeping the glass wet, using a diamond bit and working slowly were the key elements.

Kienzle in Germany are able to supply various custom sizes in regular and AN. They can be a little slow to respond. Some of the high transmission coated glasses are apparently as effective as AN in many circumstances but I can't recall which ones they are.
