Hi,
I am visiting photrio for quite some time now and loving it . I think time to finally register as well .
I just love photography! Probably because I have grown up in an environment of photographers : Grandparents, parents, sisters, brothers, friends.....all have been or are active photographers. I started quite early, and my parents have taught me a lot. Some years ago a very good friend of mine and semi-professional photographer also introduced me to film - and I've fallen in love with it! Film is meanwhile supplementing my digital photography, and my film use is slowly but steadily increasing from year to year.
Currently I am mainly using a Nikon F100, Nikon FA and Mamiya 645 Pro TL. Recently also added a Sprocket Rocket and have fun with it. In digital imaging a Nikon D300s has been and still is my main trusty workhorse.
I hope to contribute here with my hopefully increasing knowledge soon.

Hey, great to have you here! I have a Sprocket Rocket that I received as a gift. I’ve only used it a couple times but always enjoyed the output. In fact, I’ll get it out soon. Thanks for that reminder.

Hope to see your thoughts and images here.

Reed

Welcome to APUG Photrio!!

Welcome. I think it's the best photography forum around, and in general, it's a good place to hang out and meet some very knowledgeable and positive people.

Welcome! I have to admit I had to look up what a Sprocket Rocket is now I know!

I use one too, along with my F2, FG and F90x shooting Ektachrome and various B&W films.

The D300s is currently one of the best bargains on the used DSLR market.
It's a truly professional camera, and it can be bought for about only 200-300 bucks on the used market.
Completely underrated!
Same for the F90X and F100, which can be bought even much cheaper, especially the F90X.
