I've used ferricyanide+bromide bleach and E6 fixer with perfect results when I had only defective Tetenal blix which gave me bad results. You probably need good wash before and after the bleach this way.
How about using C-41 bleach and fixer? Like b/w, are they basically the same chemicals at different concentrations for film and for paper? The fixer is cheap as dirt, and I happen to have a ton of the bleach sitting around, plus it has quite a working life, and can pretty easily be regenerated.
The sentence referred to the Ferri bleach. Sorry for the ambiguity.
The working strength is what works. Sorry. Just try it along with a wash and then test for retained silver and hypo.
As a generalization, you will need to dilute C41 about 1:1 to work with RA papers, but this varies. Also, the correct wash must be checked out. You can get stain. The iron can ppt out as a hydroxide giving a brownish stain. If so, EDTA can help.
As I mentioned in another post, I found out that I have been using separate bleach and fixer baths the entire time I have printed at the community lab where I have done my color printing for the past five years. As soon as the session begins again, I will find out the source for the chems.
